Panaji: After the first case of the Omicron Covid variant was detected in the early state of the day, the Expert Committee for Covid-19 management recommended that night at night was charged if the level of the front was up to 3.5%.
On Monday, country’s position is almost 4%.
The Expert Committee has also recommended that travelers be asked to produce RT-PCR negative reports before checking into a hotel.
The RT-PCR test must be done ideally 72 hours before, members of the Expert Committee Dr.
Dhanesh Volvoikar said on Monday.
While the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) recommends that countries have restrictions if the position of the position of 5% or more cases, Volvoikar said, 3.5% benchmarks must be considered considering the higher infectivity of the Omicron variant.
The average daily daily cave fresh infection has violated 50-mark since Friday.
Volvoikar said that the final decision on night hours or restrictions to be charged will be decided by the task committee led by the Head of the Minister of Pram Sawant.
The committee is likely to meet on Wednesday.
Regarding travelers are asked to submit a negative RT-PCR certificate, members of the Expert Committee say even people who are fully vaccinated can develop infections with omicron variants.
“The Committee feels that tourists are asked to produce RT-PCR negative reports regardless of vaccination,” he said.
The Expert Committee, he said, also discussed LAX testing on border checks.
“Allegedly that testing at the limit is not done correctly and needs to be examined.
We have no evidence but there is room to believe that it happens in the way it should not happen,” Volvoikar said.
He said that the expert committee had not made recommendations for schools, and members felt that schools and colleges must be allowed to continue the regime followed by them.
Volvoikar also said that if people follow the corresponding behavior of Covid, they can enjoy the festival.
“The problem arises because people don’t follow the corresponding behavior of Covid.”
