PANAJI: The famous artist from Goa, Vamona Navelcar (90), died on Monday in a hospital in Panaji.
Navelcar has supported life.
Navelcar is famous as an artist who has worked on three continents India, Europe and Africa.
His works adorn the walls of the museum from London to Paris to Delhi.
Navelcar was born in Pomburpa Village in North Goa.
He will hide his picture from his family, he wants him to learn medicine.
Finally, after facing a lot of trouble, he could get a scholarship to study art in Lisbon, but had to study the Portuguese from the start to be able to pursue the program.
He unwittingly trapped in the political battle between India and the Portuguese, which then colonized the government of his house.
It led Navelcar to be discussed to the remote and troubled part of Mozambique as a teacher as a punishment posted by Portuguese.
Navelcar was even arrested during this task.
The artist finally returned to Goa, but had to actively submit paintings for several years due to family problems.
Navelcar never married and lived in a family home together in Pomburpa.
At the end of his life, Navelcar ‘genius’ was finally recognized in his home country.
The bravely lulling works and a series of ‘last banquet’ interpretations are one of the most famous works.
