Goa finally told the rules to streamline medical services

Panaji: After two years of enacting the Cave Clinical Establishment Law (Registration and Regulation), the government on Monday finally told the rules for its implementation.
The rules are widely put a minimum standard which is a clinical company registered in the state must be maintained in terms of infrastructure and quality workers.
Old Legislation – Cave Medical Practitioner Law – which was revoked after the new law began to apply, not in many aspects.
Under new rules, every clinical company requires to maintain a minimum standard of certain facilities and services.
The rules also determine minimum personnel – doctors, paramedics and technical staff – that the registered unit must be pointed.
Trade staff in the fields of nursing, paramedics and medical will not be considered like that.
Special service providers must at least have registered medical practitioners of modern medicine – which has a minimum qualification of diplomas or postgraduate degrees in relevant discipline – to supervise, do, and do tests or procedures.
Such practitioners must also be able to interpret and deliver results.
Such a service provider must have registered medical practitioners available in each patient patient patient’s clinic consulting room (OPD) during OPD hours to ensure the availability of services described in clinical views by clinical companies.
Department of Inpatient (IPD), must have two types of medical staff: consultants and medical staff assignments.
As soon as a patient arrived, he had to be attended immediately by the medical officer while a consultant had to see it as soon as possible.
If necessary, the assignment medical officer can refer patients to a suitable special consultant, a trainee doctor should not be considered a service provider.
There should be at least one medical staff assignment to act as a medical officer of the resident in a pregnant / nursing home case and must be available at all times.
In terms of inpatient facilities with more than 30 beds, one medical attendant task must be available.
In addition, the number of consultants needed in patient-based facilities must depend on the type of service provided: General, specialization or superspecialty.
Nurse houses that provide medical facilities must have doctors available in calls, all the time.
Jompo houses that provide surgical facilities must have surgeons and anesthesia available when calling.
In the event that emergency surgical facilities are also provided, a surgeon and anesthesia experts must be available in calls, all the time.
Newborn baby resuscitation must be under the supervision of a well-trained medical practitioner, preferably a pediatrician.
Maternity houses must have gynecologists / surgeons, anesthesia experts and pediatricians.
Nurse staff must have a diploma or degree in nursing / midwifery from a recognized institution registered with the Goa Nursing Council.
At present, some private clinics and hospital recruits nurses from Karnataka and Maharashtra.
Also mandated that 70% of nursing staff must have the qualifications mentioned based on new rules, and that 30% must be trained by staff, after passing at least class X and having experience working in hospitals for two years.
This rule applies to alternative medicinal practitioners such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy too.
