Panaji: Fishermen who, since 2015, have paid the number of RS 100 nominal rent per year because using a 100 meter-METERQM platform to flush fish at government facilities in Colva now have to pay Rp.
3,000 per year.
The Fisheries Directorate has increased the number of rent from Rs 100 to Rs 3,000, according to the update to the platform rental scheme to dry fish in the fisheries complex, Colva.
In partial modification with the notification of the 2015 scheme, the revised sub-clause mandates deposit also.
“The platform must be given to traditional fish dryers at a speed of Rs 3,000 per platform per year.
The applicant will also pay a security deposit of Rs 1,000 per platform,” modifications issued on August 5.
