Ponon: Five tourists from North India, in the age of twice, narrowly fled on the Dudhsagar River on Wednesday.
Lifeguards attached to the Dristi saved them from the four wheels trapped in the water in the middle.
Not aware of the flow of water, tourists traveled into rivulet, but their four wheels were not resistant to the power of water.
The vehicle stopped in the middle of the river after the damper sank.
Locals say they have told the tourists about the flow of water, but they ignored the warning and left.
Drishti Lifesavers posted in Dudhsagar including Niraj Gaonkar, Devendra rose, Hanuman Bhajantriy, Vithal Masurkar and Shanu dresses save the group.
Rivulet has a high water surface with a very strong current during the rainy season.
The Ministry of Forestry does not allow anyone to travel to Dudhsagar this season, a local source said.
Police Collem said the incident was not reported to them.
