Panaji / Bicholim: Goa Forward Party (GFP) has announced that the president who works and former Tivim MLA Kandolkar will oppose the assembly selection of 2022 from Aldona, take Sitting BJP MLA Glenn Ticlo.
Kandolkar and GFP President Vijai Sardesai spent Thursday in Aldona who met local stakeholders and grassroots workers before making announcements.
Meanwhile, the wife of Kandolkar Kavita, who is a member of Colve Zilla Panchayat, will contest from Tivim’s constituency on GFP tickets.
“We have started working to build a party in the Aldona constituency area under the leadership of Kandolkar.
The worker is sure to win this election,” said GFP President Vijai Sardesai.
Kandolkar won the Tivim constituency in 2012 as BJP ML, A but lost in 2017 to sit Mla Nilkant Halarnkar.
Halangkar switched from Congress to BJP in 2019 after that Kandolkar and his wife stopped from BJP.
“Party workers in round voice decide that Tivim’s constituency will choose a woman for the first time.
Kavita, who won the Election of Zilla Panchayat from there is the right candidate,” Sardesai said.
GFP has announced Deepak Kalagutar as his candidate for the Mandrem Constituency and is ready to announce Jagdish Bhobe as a candidate for the Constitution of St Andre.
“For now, we have 12 candidates in mind.
I traveled to all the constituencies to start our campaign and build a party,” said Sardesai.
GFP, which encouraged the Alliance with Congress for the upcoming State Assembly poll, simultaneously made a breakthrough into the constituency represented by the Congress.
Mandrem, St Andre and Tivim were represented by Congress until MLA sat turning to BJP.
Kandolkar, during a visit to Mayem, announced that Santosh Kumar Sawant would be the Mayem GFP candidate for elections.
He said President GFP Vijay Sardesai will visit the Mayem Constituency Area on August 29
