Panaji: Goa reported four deaths for second consecutive days and 148 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday after recording under 100 new cases over the past two days.
The test also rose to 4,678 samples from 3,541 days earlier.
Three deaths were reported at GMC and one at the South Goa District Hospital.
Four deceased, all men, are in the age group 36-59.
A 44-year-old man from Karwar without comorbidity died in 24 hours hospitalized at GMC and has complained about symptoms eight days earlier.
A 36-year-old man from Ponda and a 59-year-old man from Sindhudurg with diabetes as the only comorbidity that surrendered to Covid-19 after 28 and 20 days in each GMC.
The 36-year-old child has symptoms four days before hospitalization, while the 59-year-old has complaints for more than a month.
A 54-year-old man from Chinchinim with chronic kidney disease, hypertension and diabetes died after eight days at the South Goa District Hospital and had complained about symptoms two days earlier.
Active case stand at 1,130.
There were 16 new hospitalizations and 135 people chose to isolate the house for the last 24 hours.
