PANAJI: In radical steps, the state government has enabled specific annihilings at the location of the wild boar in the land cultivated by the private sector, after the assessment and authorization by the Department of Forest officials.
While notice has brought a smile to the faces of farmers who complain about plant damage, have raised the protest link from activists, who accused the tool can be misused and “will only accelerate the extinction of human species and all life forms”.
Over the years, cave farmers have demanded that wild boars, peacocks and bison are expressed as vermin, accusing large losses in plants.
Notifications ratify the Deputy Forest Conservator for North and South Goa, which is a warden of wildlife, to allow controlled killings from wild boar based on farmers’ complaints.
