PANAJI: Minister of Health Vishwajit Rane on Thursday launched a project to improve health care facilities towards better preparedness for current respiratory emergencies and in the future, including Covid-19.
Rane launched US bodies for international development (USAID) sponsored and the implementation of Jhpiego achieved the impact, saturation and epidemic control project (rising).
Rise India provides technical assistance for secondary and tertiary health facilities in 28 states, including Goa.
Rane said the Goa Government collaborated with the US AID rising India in building respiratory respiratory respiratory emergency treatments, creating a facility learning network led by the Center for the Excellence of the State, Operations, Oxeneco System Strong, Replacing Diagnostic Infrastructure, including testing for Covid-19 Laboratories, RT-PCR and sequencing of all genomes, improving skills, and managing bio-medical waste.

Ira Almeida said Rise India could support the state health care system by strengthening the results achieved by the state.
Rane and Almeida recognize the contribution of the health workers of Goa, which shows the maximum dedication and feelings of unmatched altruism, even during difficult times, such as Covid-19 pandemics.
He mentioned that his vision for the Goa health system was to be an example of a model to respond to an emergency of critical care such as Covid -19.
Rane asked USAID RISE India to help the country strengthen the testing facilities in Goa and establish a laboratory for the genome sequencing.
“This will help us when we deal with many international passengers who enter Goa.
In this way, our actions will be very fast, rather than depending on any agency outside the cave for the sequencing of the genome,” he said.
