PANAJI: The state government has held a special vaccination drive on Saturdays for foreign nationals and individuals who do not have identification issued by the government.
Drive vaccination everyday, which will begin at 9 am, held in Panaji and Assagao and open to individuals over 18 years in this category.
It is being carried out based on the SOP formulated by the unification of the Ministry of Health and family welfare for people who do not have seven photo identity cards prescribed and included, which includes homeless, marginalized, those who live in homes and occupants of other countries.
The state government has also asked all members of the Pancrayat Environment and City Council members to identify people who lack identity cards and who cannot be vaccinated.
Panaji City City Company Mayor of Rohit Monserrere urged individuals to advance and vaccinated at Don Bosco School on Saturday.
“Foreign citizens must advance to get vaccines.
Everyone who does not have an ID must advance and vaccinate.” Monserrate said.
“Everyone needs to get a vaccine.
Getting vaccination is the most important thing to do now,” he said.
The state has formed a task force for each of the two districts to identify those who lack identification documents issued by the government and those who need to be vaccinated.
