PANAJI: List of online property departments with government details and private land in the state.
Including ownership, classification and zone disputes are ready to be aired.
The online public database will bring all land data under one digital roof, allowing prospective buyers and property owners to conduct their own thorough test.
In an effort to reduce fraud in property transactions, the government has also created a system to notify individuals every time a person applies to the plot partition in a particular village.
The Directorate of Settlement and Land Note will notify customers via email, if there is an application for the partition received.
This, said Sanjay Kumar’s income secretary, will allow people from Indians and foreign players to oversee tabs if there are steps made on their property.
Before this, public notification will be issued through a local newspaper or the authorities will request another stakeholder address from the property seller itself.
In terms of fraudulent transactions, the seller will provide an address that is wrong to neighbors or leave their names that have a part on the property, especially if the person lives abroad.
The government has begun working on a list of properties with government details and private land in Goa.
Registers will include data on ownership, zone classification, dietening, legal rights, mortgages and lease information.
Details such as court orders and disputes will also be included in the register aimed at carrying all land data under one digital roof.
Last November, the Department of Revenue has notified the design of the rules for government property registers which will set a unique identification number for each property.
All government departments will have access to property registrar so that data about property can be updated as and if needed.
The Department of Settlement and Note of the State Land will remain a custodian of the property registers and will integrate databases with other government departments, local government agencies or other institutions so that real-time property information can be given, government officials said.
