Panaji: Upset with Congress for not giving him a ticket for the Velim Constituency, former Velim Mla Benjamin Silva resigned and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Thursday.
When joining, Silva explained that he was interested in fighting from Velim.
President of the South Goa Advocate Association, Advocate Antonio Da Costa has explained that he intends to compete from Velim, but with Silva’s entry to TMC, his nomination is no longer sure.
Costa was one of the first in Goa to join TMC, traveling with MLA Luizinho Faleiro to Kolkata to meet with the Minister of Bengal Bengala Barat Mamata Banerjee.
