Goa is open to visitors, ready to start tourism, said CM Pramod Sawant

Panaji: Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Friday that the government had written to the Ministry of Union and external affairs to provide special permits to tourism.
“Goa is ready to start tourism and open to welcome tourists.
I think we are the first country to welcome tourists during a pandemic,” Sawant said.

“I want to appeal to all of you to spread the message that Goa is ready to welcome tourists,” Sawant said.
Restrictions on travelers from Kerala, he said that the Goa government allowed into people who had taken both doses of vaccines.
Tourists from Kerala are needed to produce a Covid negative RT-PCR certificate to enter the cave, and also have to undergo five compulsory quarantine days.
Sawant also said that various programs will be held for tourists.
Meanwhile, the curfew applied by the state will remain valid until Monday morning.
The coastal area of ​​the country is full of domestic tourists, especially from neighboring countries Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh.
In fact, even before the condition of a relaxing country, Goa has seen a stable tourist flow since July.
While domestic tourists have improved stored hotel residence, small hotels that have traditionally relied on the charter remained closed for one and a half years.
Goa’s Travel and Tourism Association (TTTAG) has lobby since last season as a special case, the Indian government must have a bubble with the aim of the Goa Charter after mining, it is the hospitality industry that has become the main support of the country’s economy.
TTTAG has also demanded that now the covid state of the state’s position has dropped below 5%, all types of tourism activities must be continued.
The government has not allowed casino operations and river cruises, both the main attractions among domestic tourists.
Recently, the Minister of Science and Technology Michael Lobo said that he asked Sawant to allow casinos to reopen at least 50% of capacity, by following all Covid protocols.
If the casino restarts, tourist footsteps will increase and will revive the hospitality sector, Lobo said.
Every year, Goa receives around 80 tourists of Lakh, and to Pandemi, this sector has witnessed healthy growth.
