Panaji: A 16-year-old girl tried to commit suicide after she was kidnapped and raped in the car.
Porvorim police arrested the accused of 31 years on Saturday.
The police said the incident occurred on Wednesday.
They said the defendant and the survivors of the same area in the same area and the man was friendly with the girl.
On Wednesday, the defendant asked the Survivor to accompany him by driving.
When they went driving, the defendant was suspected of raping him in the car.
The incident occurred between 11 am and 14:00, police said.
Then, the defendant dropped the victim near his house and threatened him with a terrible consequence if he recounted the incident to anyone.
However, at night, the victims went to the neighboring building and jumped from the third floor.
The police said the people on the ground saw the girl jumped from the third floor, and immediately shifted it to Goa Medical College for treatment.
Survivor suffered a fracture on his leg and came out of danger, police said.
The police said the girl was afraid and did not reveal it to her family.
On Friday, he told the incident to his brother.
The family immediately filed a complaint with the Porvorim police station.
Based on complaints, the police arrested the defendant and investigation.
The defendant will be produced before the court on Sunday for police detainees.
