Goa: Kushawati dam Amount Climbs to Hazard mark

QUEPEM: A age-old dam in River Kushawati at Quepem, possibly the sole Portuguese-era barrage in south Goa, has begun overflowing because of incessant rains during the past few days.
Locals in addition to people from surrounding regions have begun going to the area to catch the glance of the body.
It had been created by the Portuguese at 1960.
After the water falls in summer, folks from Borimoll ward wander through the shallow waters of the dam basin to achieve Quepem, even though somewhat insecure — becoming the shortest path.
