Goa Liberation Day: Calangute got e-van for garbage collection

CALANGUTE: Calangute Panchayat launched two electric vans for garbage collection on Sundays, on the occasion of the 60th liberation day of the country.
After launching the Waste collection van, Calangute Sarpanch Shawn Martins said the e-Bect would help collect garbage from every corner and corner of the village.
“Through our experience in collecting garbage, we found that it was a problem to collect garbage from a small lane and a trench where larger vehicles could not go during the garbage collection to the door.
So we decided to buy two e-rickshaw rickshaws that could Enter the smallest path and there is no area from which trash is not collected, “said Sarpanch.
Every e-rickshaw can collect a ton and they are pollution free, said Anthony Menezes Panchayat Members.
Calangute members Zilla Panchayat DataPrasad Dabholkar and Panchayat Memebers are also present for the launch.
