Bicholim: Following the Increasing Incident of Waste and Disorders at Kaasaskond Waterfall by Visitor Groups, Management of Shri Sateri Kelbai Devasthan and villagers on Sunday blocked the road to the waterfall in Ladfe Village in Latambcem, Bicholim.
President Devasthan, Vithu Malik, and the others also demanded police patrols to prevent visitors from coming to the waterfall area through alternative routes.
“We have decided to submit a memorandum to the police to enforce strict patrols to avoid unwanted events and to ban tourists to go to the waterfall area in several or vice versa,” said a village resident, Tustar Malik.
A few days ago, in a similar incident, a resident of Surla Village blocked access routes for tourists when they drink and create interference.
Kalaskond waterfall is a popular picnic hotspot, especially at the start of the rainy season.
However, locals, accused that many visitors tend to make a disturbance after consuming liquor.
