Margao: Residents of Colmorod, Margao, are led by former Chairman of the Municipal Council Margao (MMC) Savio Coutinho held a protest in front of the South District Library on Friday to demand a replacement of RCC water pipes over 40 years old.
The protesters say that the broken pipe often causes great difficulties for the public.
“When all and Sundry realized that this pipe exploded very often in different locations along the line, they had failed to propose a job for replacing this line.
This talks about the actual developments that occur in Margao,” Coutinho said.
Opposition leader and Margao Mla drawn Kamat also visited the site in the morning along with PWD engineers and instructed them to ensure that the restoration work was the earliest.
“All connections from the old water pipe will shift to new pipes and residents will start getting water tonight,” Kamat said.
