PANAJI: The state may see an increase in Covid-19 cases at the end of this month, and the third wave of potential can peak in October, an expert said.
Even when the average level of participants hovered about 2%, a member of the state expert committee said that the increase may not be the same to destroy it with the second wave, and that even though vaccination tends to hold the country well, reduce hospitalization and mortality, it will be stupid if People stop taking precautions in public spaces.
In Goa, more than 4.3 lakh people have been fully vaccinated, and around 7.2 lakh has been partially vaccinated.
“It must be remembered that two vaccine doses reduce severity and death.
Take both doses on time, but do not bring the wrong sense of security in vaccination, because infection can still occur and spread in the family,” he said.
He also said that there were several cases in Goa where people signed viruses after vaccination, and some even after they took both of their doses, but the majority recovered in house isolation without developing complications.
“Apart from vaccination, people must really wear masks, clean their hands, and avoid crowded places.
It is better not to visit the market or crowded shopping center,” he said.
He also suggested that vulnerable populations such as senior citizens, pregnant women, people with diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and cancer must be vaccinated without delay, and in any circumstances of ignoring covid symptoms.
They must test early and immediately seek medical treatment if positive.
While active supervision will help choose Covid mutants and begin the steps of detention immediately, he says it is equally important to get mutant strain reports.
