Panaji: In the historic and emotional events for the Indian Navy, the first landing on a customer ship (IAC 1) was carried out on Wednesday when the Naval Aviation flag (Fona), Rear Admiral Philipose George Pynumootil, landed the Sea King 42B helicopter on the aircraft deck 40,000 tons.
This is the first time an airplane, especially a naval aircraft, kissed a pile of ‘mother’ plane, when the navy aviator lovingly called the aircraft carrier.
The landing came 50 full years after the first naval sea king landed in the UK – built-in Vikrant (R11) on July 26, 1971.
The 42b sea king took off from the INS Garuda, Kochi, and flew to the sea to link it with IAC 1 before arranging the wheel On the aircraft carrier.
Pynumootyl, which is currently placed in Goa as the Flag Officer of Goa Area (FOGA), is a pilot who qualifies in Sea King 42 b / c and has ordered the Ins 330, the anti-submarine warfare.
In the settlement of the first landing, Pynumooty also has a difference in landing on the four Indian aircraft vessels.
IAC 1 sailed out of Kochi for sea trial on Wednesday as the Indian Navy prepared a large-scale floating complex for commissioning in August 2022, when he would be baptized as an INS Vikrant, after an Indian naval aircraft carrier.
INS Vikrant (R11) was a magnificent 19,500-ton-ton-tons of warship which was disabled in 1997.

Moniker Vikrant held a place near the Heart of the Indian Navy for helping the fleet get the nuances of large complexity of carrier operations.
Most of the naval aviators fly Seahawks, sea kings, alize and deck operations studied on Vikrant ships.
Arrowning the plane on the operator is a complex process, variable and very challenging, especially during rough marine conditions, and pilots undergo strict training to qualify for deck operations.
