Dabolim: President Ram Nath Kovind, supreme commander of the Indian Armed Forces, presented the color of the president to the Indian Naval Aviation Ins Hansa here on Monday.
Kovind said the Navy not only provide “outstanding service” to the nation, but also underscores India’s vision to become “the preferred security partner” and “first responders” in the Indian Ocean region.
He said the move towards indigenization show “Atma Nirbharta” in the defense sector.
Pays tribute to the pioneers of Naval Aviation, Kovind said that the color of the president is a tribute to the men and women of the Indian Navy which has reached the assigned job, sometimes at the cost of their own lives.

The altar was made by members of the navy band “The Indian Navy has invested significant efforts in meeting all regional commitments and advance our diplomatic engagement with friends and partners in the Indo-Pacific,” said Kovind.
“With a mission such as operation ‘Ocean Setu’ and ‘Mission Sagar’, the Navy is the main instrument of outreach Covid India, providing assistance and support to our maritime partners and neighbors in the Indian Ocean region.” Kovind continued and said, “The spread of the Indian Navy which quickly and effectively in times of crisis have underlined India’s vision to become the preferred security partner and first responders in the Indian Ocean region.” Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh, Flag Officer Commander of the Eastern Command Vice-Admiral R Hari Kumar, Minister of State for Tourism, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shripad Naik and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was present for the event.
The President praised the Indian Navy to move towards indigenization.
“I was told that the Indian Navy has been actively taking perminyan.
This is properly reflected in the proposed acquisition of the Navy now and in the future, which is powered by indigenization,” said Kovind.

At the same time, Philipose said president coveted color presentation is the right time for the Indian Navy to take stock of its current capabilities and adapt to the changing nature of the operation.
