MARGAO: Police Maina Curhorim on Thursday arrested someone on charges of raping his six-year-old daughter.
Police said a complaint was submitted on Wednesday.
Acting on complaints, they swung in action and arrested the defendant on Thursday.
He has been ordered based on part 376 of the Criminal Procedure Code for rape and under various parts of the Cave Child law.
(The identity of the victim has not been revealed to protect its privacy according to the direction of the Supreme Court about cases related to sexual violence)
