Goa: order HC reserves on anti-defense requests

Panaji: With only two days to leave before the country goes to elections, the Bombay High Court in Goa on Friday is provided for the order of petitions submitted by the President of the President of the President Girish Chodankar challenging the Election of Rajesh Pathnekar, which states that the ten MLA rebel congresses are not disqualified Anti-defection law.
The last hearing began less than two weeks before the assembly selection, which will be held on February 14.
The argument continues for several days ends on Friday through a virtual audience.
Chodankar challenged the command delivered by Patnekar, who rejected his petition which was looking for a defected 10 MLA disqualification.
Similar petitions / applications have been submitted by MGP’s Dhavalikar and Goa Forward Party’s Durgadas Kamat.
In November, the High Court issued a notification to ten MLA rebel congresses and Pathnekar, called for a reply on December 6 and written statements on December 9.
The Chodankar case is that the speaker, who upholds the “merger” of the ten Congress.
MLA to BJP, failed to take documentary evidence while deciding the disqualification petition.
Congress has accused the bias and malession by the speaker in deciding on this problem.
“The speaker deliberately postponed the delayed process in front of him since August 2019, and finally passed the order in terms after a major delay of 20 months of filing the disqualification petition, it was also only after the Supreme Court intervened,” Congress stated.
During his previous hearing in June last year, Senior Advisor Kapil Sibal, appeared for Chodankar, argues that there is a urgency in this regard considering the terms ended in March 2022, with only a few months.
