PANAJI: The last list of BJP candidates is just a big step with BJP senior leaders who hold detailed discussions in Delhi, on Sunday, on the scenario of Goa polls and nominations for 38 elections.
Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant, State President of BJP Sadanand Shet Tanaavade, Minister of Union State Shripad rose and Secretary General of BJP (Organization) Satish Dhond attended the meeting, chaired by the National President of BJP J P Nadda.
The meeting lasted for more than five hours.
Speaking to Toi Sawant said that they discussed all constituencies in detail.
“The Central Election Committee will meet on January 19 and the list of candidates first is likely to be released,” CM said.
Preliminary Discussion was held based on a survey report, land reality and name selected by the State Election Committee and the BJP Core Committee.
First list can consist of candidate names for Poriem, Valpoi, Sakhali, Mayem, Tivim, Aldona, Mapapaa, Saligao, Porvorim, Siolim, Pernem, Panaji, Taligao, St Andre, Dabolim, Vasco, Velim, Cuncolim, Navelim, Curorim, Quepem , Curchorem, Shiroda, Priol, and Ponda Proptuity.
In some of these, depending on the victory, BJP has decided to bring down MLA sitting for a new candidate.
A senior official official said that the first list was completed based on a vote by the Yogyakarta in secret voting, survey reports and land trust.
BJP on Thursday decided to oppose 38 of the 40 seats, leaving the Benaulim and Nuvem.
It has more than one aspiran in Canacona, Sanvordem, Sanguem, Bicholim, Mandrem, Santa Cruz and Cumbharjua among several others.
After leaving the former Calangute Mla Michael Lobo, BJP had not finished the candidate to oppose the chair.
A senior official said Mormugao could be stated in the second list because of the recent controversy over alleged sex scandals involving former minister and Mla Milin rose.
Likewise, Savordem may see a delay due to accusations of recent work fraud at PWD against the Minister and Mla Deepak Pauskar.
In Cortalim, BJP can’t get zero at a candidate after sitting Mla Alina Saldanha stopped.
