Goa Polls: Voters first press the button for opportunities

Panaji: Pandemic may have forced many young Goa adults to celebrate their 18th birthday by adopting a new one from cutting cakes online with friends and family.
However, many of these new adults, who obtained large status from 2020 to 2022, have struggled for environmental problems and the legacy of Goa.
From being a teenager who was obsessed with selfies only three years ago, they are now brought to the same social media with #Voteforgoa.
When they stepped into the voting booth for the first time on Monday, many of them felt real with the power to choose.
“Voting is the most effective tool for democratic society.
This gives me the power to make someone win elections because every vote count and sound I can make a difference.
Today, I walked proudly to the outlet for the first time to choose and bring change,” Saitej Gadekar, 19, a voter from the Colva constituency, told TI.
Kiran Govekar-based vagator, aged 18 recently and was the first time in Chapora, said that he finally “saw in the movement” what he had learned at school in his citizenship lessons.
“Choosing the state government to run for the next five years is an extraordinary feeling.
It is good to do democracy even if it is only by pressing the button,” M up, a 22-year-old child from Ponda, said.
Precautions taken to remain covid in the bay during the electoral process impressive many new voters in urban areas.
“Clothing block level takes a great effort to ensure that everyone chooses safely.
The number of precautions taken in difficult times is praised.
This procedure follows my expectations, if not exceeding them,” Adityarana Kalangutar, 20, of constituency Taleigao, said.
The young man has been careless about raging problems that disturb the country for the past two years whether it requires starting online petitions for mollem problems or going up to the road to save the old Goa Heritage site.
Their expectations of the new government are therefore generally with polls 2022.
“I hope that the selected representatives fulfill their roles and responsibilities effectively and efficiently to give us better opportunities and a safe environment to live in,” Natasha Kkar, 20, from Saligao.
“I hope that the newly elected government will work for the best interests of Goa, especially young people,” Vivek Mangoli, 20, from Dabolim, said.
Durva Pednekar, 20, from Saligao, a dream of corruption-free government that offers many opportunities for young people while Suyasha Manu Shinde, 19, from Bicholim, hopes for a better future for Goa.
“Able to take part in the selection process and choose our representatives who will serve and keep our country for the next five years is a very important task that must be followed by every citizen.
Choose the right candidate wisely who will not make empty appointments but correctly -Tar will work for improving our country and therefore important people.
“He said.
