Goa: Ponda locals suffer bad roads as authority playing games

Ponda: As a PWD and Sewerage and Infrastructure development company continues to provide money, many roads in Ponda have turned into traps of deaths for motorists and pedestrians.
In Khadapabandh, the tar was washed away in the rain, endangering the life of commuter.
While the company claims the path must be repaired by PWD, the department places responsibility for corporations that claim road damage due to digging work done to put the waste line and construction of Gotholes.
Local residents say the road can be “can be used” even if only a hole is repaired for now, but the two departments refuse to pay attention.
Meanwhile, Ponda residents continue to bear the burden, this regardless of the previous guarantee by the PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar that the road will be repaired before the monsun.
Pauskar has made the statement during a review meeting on two separate occasions.
However, until now, the corporation only instills the city’s main road.
PWD also claims that the road has not been submitted to the company after putting a waste line when crossing the road near the GOT hole is still incomplete in most areas.
Suresh rose, a resident, alleged that the government ignored Ponda because Ravi was represented, the MLA Congress.
“The state government only maintains the constituency led by BJP MLA.
It seems that the government is waiting for some deaths to repair the road,” he said.
