Bicholim: Following the announcement of the state government to provide RS 5,000 as a relief to households who have lost their jobs due to Covid’s pandemic, people from various regions of Bicholim Taluka have begun to pack at the Bicholim Mamlatdar office to submit application forms.
According to the scheme announced by the government, everyone who has been considered unemployed because Covid in an unmaved sector is eligible to eliminate one RS 5,000.
The source at the Bicholim Mamlatdar office told TII that more than 2,000 applications had been received.
The scheme was announced after the opposition party demanded that those involved in traditional work or activities for their livelihoods and the victims of the Covid pandemic must be guarded by the government.
