Porvorim: The Assembly on Friday issued Bill Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini, 2021, which will enable the state to provide residents of ownership rights of small housing units, “to allow him to live with dignity and self-esteem and train the right to life”.
CM Pramod Sawant said that the bill for home regularization was passed during the final period of BJP government after several people became their Dwellerng homeowners.
Sawant said that some cases have been submitted against people who do not have a house where they live (ancestral houses, Alvara land, etc.).
“The purpose of the bill benefits GOANS,” he said.
The intention of the bill to benefit GOANS: CMSantant said that houses were built before April 1, 2019, having a home number will be given ownership rights.
Even government land that symbolizes will be given to people who have a house on it, he said.
He also said that those who live in Goa for the past 30 years and have home numbers, electricity or water connections, but have not received home ownership, will benefit.
‘Bhumiputra’ means someone who lives in the state of the Goa at least for a period of thirty years before the date of creation of applications is below Section 5, and in the work of the residential unit and including his partner, son, daughter-in-law daughter and unmarried daughter.
The government will immediately notify the rules, he said.
