PANAJI: Senior Maharashtrawadi official Gomantak Party (MGP) Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar on Saturday demanded the question of the Investigation Bureau (CBI) Public Works Employment Center (PWD).
“The government is involved in recruitment of fraud,” he said.
Chairman of the Minister of Pram Sawant on Friday ordered an investigation of the fraud of PWD work and continued to hold the recruitment process delayed by the report.
“We welcome the decision of the minister’s chairman to order an investigation of PWD’s fraud, but it is not enough.
This is a big fraud and must be investigated by the CBI,” he said.
Dhavalikar said that it had arrived at his notification that around RS 25 Lakh had been taken from candidates, but they had not received a job or money had been returned.
He also said that once this work will be canceled, the parents of the candidates will be taken to the streets and reveal how much money they pay and to whom.
“If Sawant wants to dig the truth in this fraud, he must cancel the recruitment process,” Dhavalikar said.
Dhavalikar said that he had also learned that drivers, officers about special tasks (OSD) and minister’s office staff had taken money for work.
Last week, BJP Panaji Mla Stanasio ‘Babush’ Monseratte accused the Minister of PWD Deepak Pauskar “selling the POSTS Engineer”, and said that the recruitment fraud in the department was “worth at least Rs 70 Crore”.
Minister PwD Deepak Pauskar has rejected the accusation.
