Poinguinim: Adult Green Sea Turtle trapped in the fishing net in Palolem, Canacona, received a new lease of life because it was released back to the sea by the Ministry of Forestry after being treated for a minor injury.
After the coast guard in Palolem told the Ministry of Forestry in the Pissonem range, the Forest Guard Manjunath Kalangutkar and Datta Veliip rushed to the beach and took green turtles, which were rarely seen in the coastline of the country.
Pissonem Range Forest Officer Devidas Velip said, the turtle suffered an injury to one of the fins.

After receiving the dose of antibiotics and some treatments to ensure they have recovered from their fatigue, the turtle was submitted to forest staff.
