PANAJI: Legal counsel for the Russian Consulate in Goa, Vikram Varma, on Saturday said there was suspicion of playing cheating in the death of the 24-year-old Alexandra RI Djavi.
Furthermore, he expressed confidence that the Goa police would carry out a thorough investigation in this case.
Djavi was found depending on Thursday in the rented room in Siolim.
Speaking to Toi, Varma said, “I have been told that in 2019, before the pandemic, there had been an incident with Djavai in Chennai, where he allegedly extorted a photographer.
Local police, after conducting a preliminary investigation, has found enough evidence to file a cooking cantineras and arrest the defendant this case.
Anjuna police on Thursday received information from the Siolim Public Health Center that Djavi, 24, was taken dead at 108 (ambulance).
After an investigation, it was revealed that the deceased lived in a rented room with his girlfriend at the Gublawaddo-Oxel, Siolim.
Pi Suraj Gawas said the deceased was “mentally interrupted” and under treatment.
“With the absence of his girlfriend, he died of suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan hook in the kitchen with red sari,” he said.
The incident occurred between 3:30 a.m.
and 6.30 a night.
When his girlfriend reached a rented room, he found the main door closed from inside, and there was no response from the deceased.
