PANAJI: Following the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Tuesday declared its strategy to tabulate marks of Class X students according to internal examination scores, college managements have stated that the directorate of instruction (DoE) must now permit institutes to predict its staffers to college campuses .
Even the Goa Board has established strict deadlines for colleges for completion of this procedure for tabulating marks of their Course X students.
High schools are requested to form internal outcome committees from June 6 to carry out that function of finalization of Class X students’ outcome.
However, DoE had filed a round before saying that because of this pandemic scenario teaching in addition to nonteaching staffers ought to be permitted to operate at home.
DoE had requested schools to adhere to these directions until farther orders.
But, no following orders are issued and colleges are now concerned as they must race against time to finish the practice of analyzing Class X students and then submit the scores into Goa Board.
“By June 1, the state government has requested government workers to report to work, however concurrent circular was issued to universities.
According to the current round, college staffers can choose to work at home, even if summoned from the faculty.
The practice of analysis of Class X students’ marks is critical and requires talks to be completed until they can be finalised.
This procedure might be impossible over the telephone or internet manner,” explained a college secretary.
Critics of the directorate of education stated they are awaiting directions from the country on whether college staffers could be requested to resume work in the institute premises.
“A historical decision in the matter can help colleges,” stated an agent of a college administration in Panaji.
