This 105-MT warship was driven by two 9,100 kilowatt diesel engines designed to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots.
The vessels are equipped with equipment, machinery, sensors, and sophisticated weapons, which allow it to function as a command platform and conduct the mandated coast guard charter including search and rescue, fight maritime crime and protect and protect the marine environment.
“The coast of India Guard is a pioneer in inaugurating the customary platform and ICGS Sarthak is a glowing example of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said Director General of India Coast Guard K Natarajan.
According to GSL, OPV has 70% customary equipment.
