PANAJI: The Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday said that the Stone Foundation for the construction of the Mega Convention Center in Dona Paula would be placed within two months.
Toi is the first to report that the state government has completed DCS solar energy in a consortium with Vascon engineers to build the center.
The consortium that will build the RS 800 Crore Center will share 6.9% of the income of mandatory facilities and 12.9% of the revenue of downstream assets with the government.
The cabinet record states that because caves are known as the preferred goals in the world tourism circuit, the need for the center of the International Convention has long been felt.
Also, because Goa is a permanent place India International Film Festival, the Ministry of Finance’s public private partnership cell has taken the central setting project.
Land measuring around 98.299sqm has been allocated for the project.
On January 14, the state government PPP cells held a virtual pre-offer meeting with the company and answered their questions related to the project.
Although the government has received an extraordinary response at a pre-supply meeting with 15 companies that attract attention to the project, only two companies show interest to take the project.
After describing the plan to build a convention center for a capacity of 5,000 seats, the state government in December floated companies that invited tenders to establish facilities, after five years.
In the first phase, along with the convention center, multiplex and five-star hotels have been proposed in Dona Paula, in an area of around 97,000 square meters.
Previously, this project was proposed in 2.9 lakh SQ M land, which was intended to establish Habitat Rajiv Gandhi.
The first phase of the project will cost around Rs 800 Crore, and depends on further expansion plans, costs will increase, and will be borne by the bidder.
Earlier this year, the Country Cabinet agreed to the Engagement of Knight Frank (India) Private Ltd as a project consultant.
Initially it was conceptualized in 2015, this project was through a long bureaucratic process and described between departments before landing with PPP cells.
