Goa: TaskForce to reopen school from November 22

PANAJI: The job on Tuesday gives ahead for school to reopen for students from Nursery to class VIII from November 22.
However, the Minister of Pramod Sawant, said that the decision would only be taken on weekends, after discussing the recommendations of Taskforce with PTA and other stakeholders.
He said that the final decision by the government had not been taken and that the recommendation of Taskforce did not bind the state government.
Sawant said that children’s safety at high registration school was the main field that was a concern for him.
He said that he had asked the education director of Bhushan Savaikar to propose a plan to him, describing how social distance would be held at school with more than 500 registration.
“There is a school with almost 1,000 students and I am very worried about that.
Taskforce said there must be staggering time, no assemblies, etc.
But children have not been vaccinated, which is my concern,” said the ministerial head.
Nearly two lakh children registered from class I to VIII in schools throughout the state.
Sawant said that after consulting with PTA and other stakeholders, if the government felt right, it might make decisions that conflict with misery.
“Only because TaskForce recommends it, it does not mean the government must apply it.
As Minister of Minister of Chief and Education, I can make a decision.
The main problem is complex like Cujira.
There are schools with more than 500 students,” he said.
Sawant said 15% of the qualified population also did not take the second dose of their vaccines and many of them might have children in their families.
He said that this was also an area that was concerned for him.
