PANAJI: After 15 hours, two public hearings were carried out on Thursday as part of the required requirements to complete the coastal zone management plan for Goa, ending in the midst of a noisy scene with participants after participants showed shortcomings and differences in the planned plan prepared by the National Coastal Management Center Sustainable-Chennai.
The Irked participants also blamed the authorities for intentional efforts to frustrate the speaker by creating a direct obstacle from the lack of podium for rejection to display CZMP maps, maps under supervision.
Most of the speakers, both in the north and south of Goa, said the village plan prepared by Panchayat and examined by local stakeholders was not reflected in the CZMP.
