Panaji: After the Goa state pollution control board (GSPCB) strives to collect environmental compensation in several hotels, which do not have functional organic waste treatment facilities, hotels have approached the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
They said there was no thought application from the pollution control board when issuing direction.
The court, in this matter, has published a notification to GSPCB, which searched what was said on October 8.
The hotel has told NGT that the pollution control board did not consider full facts.
They have told the court that they did not operate at full capacity and so there were no questions about treating a large amount of waste.
“In the light of the fact that only 10 rooms operated from January 1, 2021, and there would be no generation of organic waste and therefore, the imposition of environmental compensation because it did not function organic waste converters could not appear in all.

One hotel said that the GSPCB issued a direction of it even though the council was aware that the hotel was in the process of replacing its new plants.
