Panaji: The Directorate of Health Services reaches educational institutions to ensure that those who are 18 years old are vaccinated as soon as possible.
“We relate to college so that this group, which becomes an adult, does not miss.
We are ready to go to high school and higher education to get students vaccinated,” said Director of Health Services Dr.
Ira Almeida.
The team of health services has also come out to vaccinate home bonds, people with disabilities, and they are old.
“We are willing to have more special programs for any institution and even for housing communities if they can ensure that there are at least 10 people who need a vaccine because one bottle of vaccine contains at least 10 doses,” he said.
The Ministry of Health hopes to complete the dose of both vaccines into the target population at the end of November and will soon integrate the Covid-19 vaccination program into its routine immunization program.
Like 2.15 lakh people have not taken the second dose of their vaccines regardless of the required 84-day gap between disrupted doses, this department is especially interesting for this group to take advantage of mega vaccination drive on Sundays where they can walk to 219 central and sub The center between 9:30 am and 17:00 to get their jab.
It is important for people to be fully vaccinated as soon as possible because of the opening of the state for tourism and because school began, the department stated.
Until now, almost 105% of the target population has received the first dose of vaccines and more than 70% are fully vaccinated.
According to statistics with the Ministry of Health, 92% of those who died in the second wave of pandemic had not received a dose of vaccine.
