PANAJI: The Country Election Commission of Goa (SEC) has begun the process of limiting the environment for 186 Panchayats ahead of the local body of next year.
This initial restriction proposal must be submitted on December 15.
This is the first time this second completed the restrictions on the environment for the election of Panchayat.
Previously, this process was carried out by the state government.
However, the state has now entrusted the Commission to do the work, to avoid allegations of political interference in the process, and to ensure that the selection is held for free and fair.
“In accordance with the last amendment in Part 7 of Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the task of dividing the area of Pancant to the ward and reservations of chairs was assigned to the Commission in consultation with the government,” said a senior official.
To carry out this task, the Commission has trained election registration officers (Eros) and assistant election registration officers (Eros).
Eros is mamlatdars and mamlatdars joints, and Eros is a Kardun and major employees.
On December 15, Eros will submit the initial restriction proposal to collector officers or elections in the district where Panchayat lies.
After this is done, the collectors will submit proposals to the Commission for further action.
To prepare for a proposal, Eros and Eros are expected to be able to take advantage of the Draft Selection of the Goa Legislative Assembly which was published on November 1 to form a Pancrayat Wards at first.
After that, using the recent assembly selection roll published with the qualifying date as January 1, 2022, voters will be assigned to the ward, and ward, if needed, will be reformed.
