PANAJI: Three-day Monsun session from the Goa legislative assembly, which will begin on Wednesday, it is likely to be windy with opposition all directed to corner the state government on various important issues that translate the country.
While Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant held a meeting with MLA from his party, opposition leader drawn for Kamat held a meeting with members of the opposition party, including independent MLAS, to impose a floor management plan for sessions.
The Monsun session will see through the full budget and CO CO CO CORPORATION BUU, which will open the way for the resumption of mining activities in the state.
During the session, the government will answer 605 questions, including 197 starring and 408 which is not contradictory.
Until now, nine government bills have been registered for introduction and passing.
Five private member resolutions have also been registered.
A government official said that more bills would likely be introduced.
The session is likely to be windy with opposition directed at cornering state governments on various important issues that disturb the country.
Problems that tend to be debated in the monsoon session include covidemanships and deaths that occur in Goa Medical College because of lack of oxygen, poor connectivity for online classes, resumption of mining, Mhadei material, coal handling, three linear projects, in Mollem, tracking Double, strengthening anti-defense law and draft coastal zone management, among others.
“We have registered several problems to corner the government on the floor of the house, including calling attention, but they must be allowed to appear at home,” Kamat said.
Because of the pandemic, the state government has limited assembly sessions to a very short range.
Opposition said that they had shown that there was no general discussion about the budget.
“Tokenism from the upcoming three-day assembly session was another chapter of fraud and deception by the Sawantawadi government.
We have repeatedly demanded a full session to be held because there are many important and critical problems facing GOANS today as our future generation, What must be debated and discussed, “said President Goa, Vijai Sardesai said.
While the opposition has demanded a 10-day monsun session from the legislative meeting at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, the government was firm at three days due to a pandemic but convincing the opposition to call the Assembly in October.
In May, the governor had processed the 14th budget session from May 12.
Sardesai said that his party was committed to having a united opposition against “a corrupt and non-functioning government”.
“It is our duty to expose the actions of this government,” he said.
In March, the state legislative assembly session was cut for more than two weeks and was postponed until July 19 after the State Election Commission stated the schedule for the second phase of the city selection, forcing the model behavior model.
