PANAJI: The state government has decided to establish a floating solar power plant in four dams in the state and has invited an interest in interest (EOI) to select solar power developers to establish solar power plants connected on these sites.
.
Solar power plants will be established in the Dam Selaulim, Amthanem, Anjunem and Chapoli on the design, built, finance and operate the model for a period of 25 years.
The last day to hand over EOI is October 25.
A senior officer said that the purpose of EOI included solar power plants, water conservation due to fewer evaporation, job creation to rural communities and higher solar generations because the temperature was maintained.

Because solar power projects will be installed on the surface of the water, other soil surfaces for the same capacity of projects can be used for other purposes and land costs do not apply.
Senior officers say that the prominent feature of EOI is that the new and renewable energy department (DNRE) will help provide the area needed in all four locations from the Department of Water Resources (WRD) for the installation of project floating solar power plants.
The scope of the developer will include the construction of the grid connected with a solar power plant floating on the surface of the water available in the four dam with operation and maintenance and the possibility of power evacuation and transmission settings to the nearest substation.
Senior officers say that the auction participants will be asked to submit records of concepts and reports of their feasibility along with the technical and financial feasibility of the concepts and technical and financial abilities.
Senior officers say that the main scope of the bidder is assessing the potential of the grid that is connected with the capacity of floating solar power generation in each location.
The scope of work also includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of plants with operation and maintenance and power evacuation and transmission to the nearest substation.
