PANAJI: Even as a 2021-22 academic year will begin for general flow universities from September 1 in physical mode, the deliberation is at the Institutes to compile SOP.
While the principals assisted will hold a meeting this weekend to complete uniform SOPs to operate in physical mode, the head of the college government has prepared a plan to welcome students back on campus.
Universities are expected to start conducting physical classes for the second and third third students, because these students have not experienced physical teaching at all, after registering for undergraduate programs after the arrival of a pandemic.
Also, the Institutes felt safer calling older students on campus, because most of them were vaccinated, more than 18 years.
Principal of the Government, Khandola, Purnakala Samant, said that the Institute would conduct physical classes for the second and third of the first year students.
He said the focus would complete a practical session before there was an increase in the Covid-19 case.
“SOP must be compiled by each college depending on the feasibility, based on the number and infrastructure of students,” said Samant.
“We have decided to call the second and third year students to college first because they are only taught in online mode over the past two years, and we do not want the third year students to complete their program without attending physical classes.
We will call them in a group of 40 Each student, and the class will be held in a larger classroom to ensure social distance.
“College could not call first year students on campus for the physical class at least for the first few months.
“We will call the first year students of college only after at least 50% of the portion for the second and third students students are completed through offline mode.
We will mainly take subjects such as accounting, cost, mathematics, etc., because it is difficult to teach this in Online mode, “said Samant.
Institutes are interested that the third year students attend classes in physical mode throughout the academic year.
College Principal, Quepem, Joydeep Bhattacharjee, said that his institution would begin by scheduling offline classes for third year students first.
“The class of online theory will be carried out for first and second year students.
For second and third year students, practices for all subjects of science flow will be held offline.
For third-year students, the theory and practice will be carried out offline,” Bhattacharjee said.
He said the college would review the settings at the end of September based on the Covid-19 situation.
“We have asked students to submit information about their vaccination status during reception and we are happy that all of our third year students have taken at least one dose of vaccines,” he said.
Universities assisted hoping that shared SOP can be withdrawn, which will also bring uniformity in the process that is followed in the auxiliary and government institutions.
