COLVA: Additional sessions court judge Vincent D’Silva, on Wednesday, granted bail to Vasant alias Amir Gavande and Imran Bepari on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 with one surety of the same amount and other conditions, in the case of attempted murder of Anwar Shaikh at Fatorda four months ago.
The judge observed that prima facie, there exists no reasonable grounds for believing that the accused had been guilty of an offence punishable with death or life imprisonment.
The accused, on February 16 noon, armed with deadly weapons like sticks, iron rods, sickle and firearms, assembled unlawfully with the intent of murdering Anwar Shaikh over previous enmity.
