Goa University students protest a lack of water in women’s hostels

PANAJI: A group of students living in a female hostel on the Cave University campus in Taleigo on Tuesday held a protest to highlight the lack of water at housing facilities.
The female students protested holding an empty bucket outside the hostel facility.
They said they had experienced a lack of water since the last week and it led to conditions that were not hygienic in the dormitory.
The water supply received is turbid, affecting around 100 students.
Students say they have brought a problem with the notification of the hostel authority, but the problem remains unresolved.
“Here in a female hostel, we don’t have sanitation water supply for the past 3-4 days, and significantly have a negative impact on my health and also mental conditions.
I personally have experienced nausea, sore throat, and abdominal pain.
Water out colored Chocolate from a knock and water purifier, “complaints written by a student with the hostel authority rang.
The students said that they had experienced shortcomings and turned off since March this year.
“There is no clean water here, and therefore we spend a large amount of money to drink drinking water.
I have ISA tomorrow, I have focused on how I will manage without clean water.
I can’t learn,” said students.
Students request university officials to understand the final depth of contaminated water problems and their impact on student health.
Students have requested the intervention of cave university officials as inches from the water supply in the hostel cannot overcome their problems.
