Margao: South MP Goa Francisco Sardinha on Wednesday voiced his opposition with a double tracking from the southwestern train route outside Majorda and demanded that the land obtained for that purpose.
Overcoming the reporter at the South Goa Party Congress Office in Margao, Sardinha said that Congress would memo three linear projects, including a double tracking train, after coming to the office.
“All projects that have opposed people will be canceled by Congress so forming the government, as it is guaranteed.
If there is an absolute need, the panel will learn it.
When people show that the projects are dangerous, the government must change it,” said Sardinha.
He added that as a local resident of Majorda and neighboring areas hard against doubling the railroad, doubling the major-vasco section must be “completely deleted.” By stating that people did not want to part with their land for a double tracking project, Sardinha demanded that the land have been obtained returned to the defenses of the land.
“It shouldn’t be used for anything else,” he said.
Regarding the proposal to reopen high school, Sardinha suggests the government to “truly careful” remember the fear of other pandemic waves.
Pointing to the high number of road deaths in Goa, Sardinha called it “unfortunate” that even though Goa became a tourist country, road conditions were very bad, and connecting it to the high number of fatal accidents.
Referring to traffic congestion witnessed near the Zuari bridge, he said, mostly due to narrow streets on both sides of the bridge, Sardinha demanded the immediate deployment of a large number of traffic police to regulate traffic.
“Prices of gasoline and diesel are increasing, and traffic congestion leads to increased fuel consumption,” he said.
