Hyderabad: With a pump house, part of the Godavari tissue that satisfies the thirst of the city, will be flooded, more than 1.5 lakh Malkajiri consumers, serailulampally, Patancheru, Quthbulpur, circle of gripping GHMC Sainikpuri, Nizampet and Bakupal will get a short supply of water for two days to front.
The city will get 110 million gallons of water per day (MGD) less.
The pump house from a clear water reservoir (CWR) in Mallaram in Siddipet, about 130 kilometers from the city, was flooded with flash floods on the outskirts on Monday.
Pallecheruvu, a rivulet, breaking a compound wall and flooded the pump house.
Officials began to work to spend flood water from the pump house using a motorbike, which was shifted from a bommakal water treatment plant.
Hyderabad Metropolitan Air Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) Build a CWR to supply 172 MGD Godavari Air by tapping raw water on a series of Yelpalli.
The raw water used to be treated and stored in the Mallaram reservoir.
After the incident, the Implementing Director of HMWS & SB M Kishore funds apply an emergency plan to compensate for its shortcomings, 110 mgd water.
“We will provide 79 MGD -40 MGD from Singur, 27 MGD from Osmansagar & Himayathsagar and 12 other MGDs from Krishna – from other sources to compensate for losses,” said Head of HMW & SB to Tii.
To restore normally, it may need 72 hours.
Consumers must use water wisely, he added.
Kishore funds, who rushed to the site, said they had submitted a proposal to build the retaining walls along the rivulet to prevent a violation of compound walls and prevent excess water from the CWR flood pallecheruvu.
During the teleconference, Kishore directed officials to ensure a free water tanker to all slums.
