Going from the door to the door in Kairana, Shah meets the family who ‘go’

MEERUT: Foreign Minister Amit Shah met with several families who were “affected” by the alleged exodus from Kairana a few years ago during the door to the door poll campaign in the city on Saturday.
One of them, Lokesh Khatik, 53, who has run small tea stalls in Khurgan Road for the past three decades, told Ti that he did leave Kairana after his son began to take medicine and crash into a large bill flowing to the lakh.
He said that he was afraid of his son’s life and therefore moved to Panipat in 2013.
He added that he was back in 2018.
“But I feel sad when I see people who force my son to consume drugs freely.
Nothing happens to them , “He said.
The family of Varun Singhal was also one of the few who was met by the minister at home.
Elder Varun’s brother Vinod Singhal was allegedly shot dead by extortion in August 2014 while the last sitting outside the grocery store.
Varun City migration immediately after the alleged brother killed but “back in 2015”, two years before the BJP Government led by Yogi took over.
“Almost all top politicians visited our house after my brother’s murder.
Everyone told me that my sister.
Law, who is a single parent for three children, will get financial assistance.
Even Yogi Ji came to my house during his visit to Cairana And assured us about financial assistance.
However, nothing happened so far, “Shah then met.
Shah’s family of Ghal Rajkumar sin, which has an electric store in Kairana.
Rajkumar told Tii that he never migrated but “only planned” to do it.
“In 2013, I was attacked with a sword with an unknown criminal.
I was injured but managed to escape.
In 2016, some criminals came to my shop and asked for money.
This is when I decided to switch from Cairana.
I even bought a house in Shamli But before I could move the BJP government to power and everyone told me that I had to stay back.
So I did, “said the 64-year-old.
One family whose photo with Shah made a round on social media was Rakesh Garg, owner of the shop ‘Sadu Sweets’.
Garg migrated from Cairana after someone tried to squeeze Rs 20 Lakh from him in 2014.
He said he returned after 2017 “so the situation changed.” In June 2016, the BJP MP from Cairana Law Singh accused about 250 Hindu families to migrate from the city, leaving their property, out of “fear of criminals who enjoy political protection.” This problem became a big controversy after BJP accused the same side of the Samajwadi Party in pursuing the “Appeasement Minority” policy.
