Coimbatore: Unknown people have been broken down into a house in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar near MyLampatti in tendrils and made of gold ornaments weighing nine rulers and RS1 Lakh.
The police have formed a special team to catch thieves.
Sulur police said the incident occurred when the owner of the house, G Sreenivasan 46 years old, had gone to Madathukukukukulam in the Tirupur district to attend the wedding receipt of one of the relatives along with his family members on June 30.
“Entrepreneurs, Sreenivasan dropped a newly married couple at Coimbatore Airport on Saturday night and returned home at 4:30 in the afternoon.
He found the front door lock broken open, and gold ornaments and cash were lost from home.
He immediately reminded us,” said an officer Police.
Principal Principal Priyanka Inspector and Ajithkumar visited the crime scene on the same night and lifted two finger prints from the steel cabinet almirah and glass.
There is no CCTV camera at the nearest house and area.
