JAIPUR: The traditions department in Jaipur International Airport captured around 350 g of gold worth roughly Rs 17 lakh by a passenger that landed from Dubai on Friday night.
The passenger hasn’t yet been detained as the golden is inside the permitted limit.
“The passenger had been intercepted after exhaustive evaluation of his luggage.
The gold had been hidden in the kind of a cable at trolley bags, cable in mouth , golden plates within hair straightener, clips in rings and footwear from keychains.
The gold has been garnished with white rhodium to hide the gold color,” said an official.
Ahead of the customs officials had captured around 350 g of gold by a passenger who’d landed from Sharjah from May.
