Gold Worth Rs 14 Lakh was confiscated at Jaipur Airport, 1 held

Jaipur: Customs Officials at Jaipur International Airport arrested one passenger from Dubai for carrying Selundup gold worth Rs 14,21,960 on Thursday.
Officers restored 288,430 grams of gold, which was brought from Sharjah to Jaipur hidden in toys and hand grinders, under the provisions of Customs, 1962.
The defendant had reached Jaipur in Arab Air flights.
Customs Assistant Commissioner Jaipur Airport, BB Atal said, “During our X-ray, see some of the blackish hidden things on the stem connecting toy wheels.
Also, the hand grinder is metal, but it is very well appointed.

“The accusation told the officials that tickets from Dubai to Jaipur were bought by others and Hee was only given a toy and hand grinder to be brought back to India.
The defendant claimed that the person who made a ticket said that gold would be taken from him outside Jaipur Airport.
According to the sources of the customs department, this is the third main action this month.
Previously on October 14, smugglers were arrested with gold worth Rs 73 Lakh.
Gold worth RS 1.29 Crore has been restored at the airport in the last 13 days.
